Launch of the University of Lille Excellence Initiative website

The University of Lille is proud to unveil its new website dedicated to the Excellence Initiative and the projects supported by the France 2030 programme. Explore the projects that are transforming our university, its partners and the region!

This new portal reflects not only the strategic vision and ambitions of the University of Lille, but also those of its academic, scientific and institutional partners. Together, they are working to address the major challenges presented by transitions by mobilising multidisciplinary expertise.

From I-SITE to Excellence Initiative

Since its I-SITE accreditation in 2017, the University of Lille and its partners – CentraleLille, Lille UniversityHospital, CNRS, IMTNord-Europe, INRAE, Inria, Inserm and the Institut Pasteur de Lille – have established themselves as major players in academic and scientific excellence and innovation. This network of players has enabled the development of an ambitious strategy, strengthening synergies between research, education and innovation.

With the acquisition of the Excellence Initiative label, this collaboration has reached a new stage. By integrating the priorities of the France 2030 programme, all partners are contributing to large-scale projects that address major issues such as:

  • Health and well-being;
  • Ecological transition and sustainability;
  • Digital innovation;
  • Social and regional inclusion.

This move from I-SITE to Excellence Initiative illustrates a shared ambition: to consolidate and sustain the impact of collective initiatives for the benefit of the university, its partners and the region

A showcase for strategic and collaborative projects

The site highlights projects supported by the France 2030 programme and the Excellence Initiative, focusing on five key strategic areas:

  • Research excellence:Ambitious projects led by multidisciplinary teams, drawing on the skills of the partner laboratories (CNRS, Inserm, Institut Pasteur de Lille, etc.).
  • Training for the jobs of tomorrow:Collective reflection between the university and its partners to adapt academic pathways to emerging needs.
  • Enhancing international influence:A joint strategy to enhance the region’s appeal and develop global collaborations.
  • Innovation and value creation: A dynamic partnership with economic and institutional stakeholders to create synergies around innovation.
  • Engagement with society:Promoting inclusion, sustainability and sharing knowledge with citizens.

Participate in calls for projects

The Calls for Projects section of the website is a key place for finding out about the opportunities offered by the Excellence Initiative and France 2030. There you’ll find:

  • Projects open to applications,
  • Eligibility criteria and how to take part,
  • A history of initiatives already supported, which embody the successes of past collaborations.

By drawing on the resources and talents of the university and its partners, these calls for projects contribute to the transformation of the university, the region and beyond.
