‘Educational Transitions’ SDG chair
Sustainable Development Goal 4: ‘Quality education’
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, ‘Quality education’, aims to ensure access for all to quality, inclusive and equitable education, and to promote lifelong learning opportunities.

The ‘Educational Transitions’ chair is designed to bring together a wide range of players (academic researchers, teachers, trainers, professionals in consultancy, support and educational engineering) to develop innovative responses to the challenges linked to transitions in the field of education.
An interdisciplinary and interprofessional approach

The chair tackles the issues of educational transitions in an interdisciplinary and interprofessional way by combining the skills of researchers in education and training sciences with the skills of those involved in support and educational development in higher education. The aim is to combine research findings with the experience and practices of those working in the field. Teachers, learners and other stakeholders in the education sector have been mobilised.
An ideal place for studying transitions
The Lille Learning Lab (LLL) is the University of Lille’s training and work space. It incorporates technologies conducive to experimentation and the dissemination of innovative and transformative teaching practices.
In this way, the Lille Learning Lab supports the work of the Educational Transitions chair.
The chair intends its work to be analytical, exploratory and structural in the three areas of education, research and decision-making support, in order to help improve the quality of education.
Objectives of the ‘Educational Transitions’ chair
Fostering a scientific debate on transitions in the field of education
Encouraging experimentation with a view to the future
Initiating innovative and decompartmentalised projects linking research and education
Contributing to improving the effective practices of those involved in education
Team and management
This chair is supported by the Lille Inter-University Centre for Educational Research (Centre interuniversitaire de recherche en éducation de Lille – CIREL) and the University of Lille Teaching and Innovation Support Department (Direction d’appui à la pédagogie et à l’innovation – DAPI).
